"SPILL THE TEA, SHARE THE VISION: Aristidis Lisandrou opens up about our Student Council"

Hello, fellow students,

With the dust finally beginning to settle, where the students council's elections happened 2 weeks ago ,we all ponder:

What can we expect from our new leaders this year? To get a better idea, I sat down with Aris, one of our newly elected council members, to chat about their experience and what we can look forward to…

What are their plans? They are claiming they want to bring more fun to our school. We shall see if they can really pull it off or if it's just empty promises. We will find out soon enough!

Q: ''What is your role in the student council, and what do you hope to bring to the team?''

A:''I'm the primary secretary along with George Christodoulou, and I hope to bring to the team some organization, to help to keep the team on track. With so many ideas flying around, it is easy to get lost in the chaos. So, I want to ensure we're all on the same page and that our plans actually happen!''

Q:''How do you plan to connect with the students of your year group and get their ideas or feedback?''

A: ''I have created a suggestion box that is in my link at my Instagram account, therefore, if anyone wants the link, I can send it to they so they can suggest anything they want. They can give me some ideas, feedback or anything they would like to say to the council.''

Q: Can you give us some insights of what projects and events the student council is planning to organize?

A: ''It is still a little early. But, we are planning to organize all the non-uniform days, something about Halloween that is coming up and, lastly, we are thinking about doing an event that has to do with animals!''

Q: Do you think that this years council is suitable for your school? What do you think makes a great students council team?

A: ''I'm confident that this year's Students' Council is more than capable of representing our school effectively. We have elected a great president and great people for all positions and, overall, we have an exceptional team with a lot of chemistry.

An outstanding students' council is not just great individuals, but also a great team, where people can rely on each other and work together to create bigger projects. ''

Q: If you could make one change to your school, what would it be and why?

A: ''The student council is planning to change the status of water. It is not free and students have to pay for it. We want to make water free and accessible, providing safe drinking water for everyone. ''
